Founded in 1993 by Steve Milne, ESK formally became ESK Decorating Contractors Ltd in 2006. We have developed the trust of the public and private sector, along with commercial and domestic property owners, over these many years.

We have always looked for long-term recruits, so we can take them from apprentice to foreman, an approach which has served our company growth well. Our staff development ethos and investment is not restricted to formal training and qualifications. In order to deliver services which are a cut above the rest, formal schemes are supplemented with our own in-house training. As a result, ESK’s workmanship quality standards go beyond industry benchmarks; “our work is guaranteed to last”.

As an approved contractor to many private corporations, local authorities and government bodies, we have a client base that spreads throughout Beds, Bucks, Herts, Oxon and Northants. Our reputation remains so strong that over the years word has spread to home-owners seeking a professional service and who are now private customers.

Recruitment

If you are just starting out and would like a career in painting and decorating, we offer an NVQ Level 2 apprenticeship. This will give you the opportunity to combine your study with practical training working alongside our fully qualified painters and decorators . It runs over two years in conjunction with Bedford College, with an optional third year. To apply please email michelle@esk-mk.co.uk for an application form.
